STONY BROOK, N.Y. — On a warm afternoon, the Pratt Institute men's cross country team made their season debuts at the Golden Eagle Invitational, hosted by St. Joseph's University (Long Island). The 8k race consisted of 93 runners from 12 teams, which included regional NCAA Division II & III teams and junior college squads.
Liam Reilly, recent transfer and the newest addition to the men's lineup, led the young squad with a solid performance placing 34th overall with a time of 32:05.00.
Following Reilly were the first-year duo of Jackson Brock and Mingyi Chen. Brock traversed the arduous 8k distance and finished with an overall time of 32:49.70 and Chen followed suit at 34:23.2. Senior Andrew Weiss rounded out the Cannoneers crossing the finish line in 36:24.4 .
Pratt is scheduled to return to action at the Queensboro Community College Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park on September 28.
