Box Score BRONX, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team returned to the win column in dominant fashion, rolling to a 7-0 non-conference road sweep over Lehman College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cannoneers (7-3) set the tone early, surrendering just two games across all three doubles flights to capture the opening point. Zuhayr Abdulla (San Antonio, Texas) and Wyatt Myers (San Francisco, Calif.) struck first with a 6-0 shutout at No. 2. Brian Duval (Glen Gardner, N.J.) and Saddqa Bahidrah (Canton, Mich.) quickly clinched the point with a 6-1 victory at No. 3.
Mikah Liu (Austin, Texas) and Aditya Shivkumar (Bombay, India) completed the unblemished doubles performance with a 6-1 triumph at the top flight.
Pratt carried its momentum into singles play, sweeping all six matches in straight sets. Shivkumar quickly doubled the team's lead with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2, and reigning Atlantic East Player of the Week Liu followed suit with an identical 6-0, 6-1 result at the No. 1 position.
Abdulla secured the overall match victory for the Cannoneers at No. 4, delivering a flawless 6-0, 6-0 performance.
Nangpa Kwok (Dongguan, China) kept things rolling with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6, while Myers added a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 3. Bahidrah capped off the team sweep at No. 5, battling through a tight opening set before running away with a 7-6 (4), 6-0 decision.
Pratt closes out the regular season hosting Marymount University on Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center..
